Thank you to all you who visited us August 6th – 8th 2019 at AACC Anaheim. It was great to meet and discuss your product development projects and answer your diagnostics design questions.

Symbient Booth at 71st AACC Meeting

This year’s AACC hosted 21,000 attendees from all over the world, 300 educational and 800 exhibitors. It was a great place to connect with global leaders in clinical chemistry and molecular diagnostics, learn about cutting edge technology, and hear vital research and learn about important changes in the field.

New for 2019, the AACC Innovation Zone featured unique displays and presentations, including our client, First Light Diagnostics presenting MultiPath™ technology, delivered by Don Straus, Chief Scientific Officer, on August 6th, and also brief talks on diagnostic innovations.

Another signature event, 17th Annual Point of Care Coordinators Forum took place on August 8th at the Convention Center. The process of taking a product from research and development through to market were explored during this session, as well as the legal and regulatory issues that must be navigated during the process. Presenters discussed the challenges point-of-care coordinators (POCC) and staff face when implementing new products, along with how to work more effectively with vendor partners.

Redbud Labs hosted product demos for Live mixing & sorting with MXR™, the only cartridge-ready sample prep solution for microfluidic cartridges, and STR™ microfluidic chips, the world’s fastest, most adaptable cartridge-ready™ microfluidic mixing component which are both considered breakthrough for the diagnostics industry.

Last but not least, The Cost of Poor Specimen Quality and Errors in Preanalytical Processes session which discussed the cost implications of preanalytical errors and the impact of these costly errors by complying with best practices for sample handling and processing to ensure high quality specimens got a shout-out from the attendees in industry workshops section.

We look forward to seeing you again at the 72nd AACC Annual Scientific Meeting and Clinical Expo July 26th – 30th, 2020 at the McCormick Place in Chicago.
