The Qualcomm Tricorder XPRIZE is a $10 million global competition to stimulate innovation and integration of diagnostic technologies, bringing reliable health information directly to consumers. An array of wireless sensors communicating to a handheld device will continuously measure an individual’s state of health, enabling a person to see hidden patterns of health, wellness, and sickness in their body. The convenience and flexibility of having access to personal health information on a mobile device creates the opportunity to take preventative action – before a person becomes seriously ill.
Team Cloud DX, a top-10 finalist in the competition, is developing VITALITI™, which uses a mobile app to manage four wireless devices to enable consumers to quickly and effectively evaluate their health conditions to see if professional help is needed. Symbient is pleased to announce that it has been selected by Cloud DX Inc. to develop several sample collection, processing and diagnostic disposables for VITALITI™.
